Welcome! We are Wanda and Tina, the founders of Made This Way.

Our journey began after we met at a local craft show in 2013. Through many conversations and a shared passion for hand made goods, HandMade in Halton was born in 2014. In 2024 we re-branded to Made This way.

We began by creating a community of likeminded individuals, where we could highlight and showcase local artisans.  We wanted to create awareness surrounding the abundance of creative talent in the area using the Facebook platform.

From there we wanted to give back to our community through our creative network, and in the fall of 2014 the Crafting For Cans Online Auction was established. This event fully supports the Georgetown Bread Basket. Makers donate their handmade goods, and local community supportive businesses donate Gift Certificates and products. During this exciting event, you win your bids by donating the most non-perishable food items. To date, we have raised over 15,000lbs of food, for our local food bank.

In November of 2015 the Christmas in Georgetown - HandMade Craft Fair was born. We hosted the event at the Gellert Community Centre, with 25 vendors. The Market took off from there! After 2 years we required a larger facility, and worked with the town as a Public Event. In 2024 we had over 80 Handmade makers, 3700 shoppers, and countless memories made!

We thank everyone who has been on this journey with us from the beginning, those who joined in the middle, and those wanting to be a part of our future!

We have some exciting things in store, and we can't wait to share them with you!

Happy Crafting!
